Me Before You by Jojo Moyes

12649718I picked this book up because I am interested in seeing the film and I am so glad I did.

Me Before You was surprisingly deep and dark in places due to the theme of suicide but still a very fast paced read. The characters were extremely realistic in my opinion though I could see a few issues with the portrayal of disability in the novel.

Throughout, I think that this book had a feeling of Love, Rosie by Cecelia Ahern, not in the themes or story, but in the sarcasm and wit that exists between the two protagonists.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the sequel, After You, coming out in paperback in June.

4 out of 5 stars!
